The location was excellent - breakfast was satisfactory - ambiance was relaxed. Loved having kitchenette. It deserves its 3 stars.

Very clean rooms and GOOD breakfast, liked it. We were greeted by friendly owner. The hotel is in the lake district. For shots visit king's head inn, nestled within 15 minutes' walk of the property.

Ideal base for exploring Thirlmere. It was definitely 3 stars for us. Helpful host running the hotel: D
No heating. The street was a bit noisy and that caused inconvenience.
